Sleepy Hollow Hypnosis
This video is NOT targeted at kids under the age of 13.
Halloween is my favorite time of year for too many different reasons to count. One of those is that I’m a huge fan of horror movies. And although it’s not connected to Halloween or horror movies, I also love magic, hypnosis, and mentalist. I decided to try to start a connection myself. I contacted a friend named Doc Sasko (a.k.a. Dr. S) who is a professional magician, mentalist, hypnotist, and more. He was enthusiastic about trying a Halloween & horror movie themed hypnosis show. I thought the perfect place would be just north of Tarrytown, New York, in Sleepy Hollow, NY (best known from the classic Washington Irving tale the Legend of Sleepy Hollow). More specifically, in the burying ground near the Old Dutch Church, which is right next to Sleepy Hollow Cemetery. I found a model named Sam who was interested in being hypnotized. She arrived at the graveyard looking very much like Wednesday Addams.
Are you a lover of the Fall season? If so, what traditions do you like to follow on an Autumn night? Do you relax in front of your television and watch vampire, zombie, and witch movies, while your black cat sits next to you? Or do you gather in groups to tell spooky ghost, goblin, and ghoulish stories, as you drink apple cider? Do you bake pumpkin pie? Do you buy a ticket for a haunted hayride during the darkness of October as you hear a crow? Do you walk through the woods and wonder if you’ll see Bigfoot? Do you practice witchcraft (Pagan? Wicca?), and use a cauldron to make a potion for your spell (even if you don‘t really fly on a broomstick)? Have you ever listened for a werewolf to howl under a full moon? Do you put a jack-o-lantern in your front window to give an eerie feeling to those coming for candy corn? Do you explore an abandoned house covered in cobweb on which spiders still crawl? Well, this Halloween I invite you do watch something different. More than just abracadabra magic. Watch a demonstration of hypnotism amongst tombstones, in a village famous for it’s history of Halloween enchantment.
This video won’t show Ichabod Crane and Brom Bones competing for Katrina Van Tassel, nor the Headless Horseman chasing Crane at night. But expect to see quick clips of, references to, or Easter eggs for: The Monster Squad, Michael Jackson's Thriller, My Pet Monster, the Midnight Hour, Creepshow, Stan Winston's Pumpkinhead, Dark Night of the Scarecrow, Hocus Pocus, Wes Craven's Scream, Jason Voorhees / Friday the 13th, Bela Lugosi / Dracula, Chucky / Child’s Play, Boris Karloff / Frankenstein, Ginger Snaps, Peter Jackson's Braindead a.k.a. I mostly agree with your review, and I do think that you’re right (especially now) that modern comic book movies do need to make more real sets. But I disagree with what you said about Hulk being better played by a real person instead of being CGI. I will always love Lou Ferrigno’s Hulk (especially in this movie where his shoulders are the size of his head). But it wouldn’t work today because then he’d be no bigger than Drax, a character he exists in the same universe as. I actually think modern films look better when it’s mostly practical until it needs CGI. I also don’t agree with what you said about Thor’s costume in the movies, it’s comic accurate. But I can understand why you don’t mind how he’s dressed like a Viking instead since this movie was your introduction to Thor. I’m the same about Drax, I don’t mind that he’s different from the comics because I haven’t read them. I also think that despite the change in Thors origin and costume, that Eric Allen Kramer is just PERFECT as Thor. He looks just like the character and talks like him too. It is confusing though that he’s established to be a Viking in this movie, but at one point refers to himself as “the son of Odin.”

I lived at 421 Elm Street next to/northside of 411 shown around the 3:11-14 mark. My room on your left over the living & dining rooms or driveway side. All rooms in it large funeral home viewing room size. My classmates thought it was a former funeral home and haunted. It was neither but the Red Room right/northside of the front doors was the coldest room in the house even in summertime I attribute to the original windows and it was shaded by the wrap around front/side porch. But the original owner who lost the familh fortune in the crash of 1929 died there in the Red Room, dead before he hit the floor according to his widow who was one of my mother's sewing customers. She lived at 522 Elm Street, by the way, walked since she didn't drive, rode my Schwinn 5 speed chopper bike otherwise walked throughout town to The Rialto, The Play Fair, Hill's Ice Cream, Music Staff & the train station.

I also came to this realization years ago. The first one fits the theme better. Man versus machine. When Kyle hits the T-800 with a metal pole, that was literally man versus machine. In T2, it was a Terminator versus another Terminator. They had different features but it turned into machine versus machine. The guardian was much stronger but it was no longer man versus machine. Another issue was why didn’t Skynet send their T-1000 to 1984 instead if two were sent at the same time essentially?

I'm forgiving of illogical plot devices, but still prefer T1. For me it's all about the visuals, the "feel" of the movie. T1 evokes stronger emotion, and I also like to imagine how fresh it must have been to people in 1984.

Well, different people have different definitions of the word "visuals." Few can argue that T2 had better effects. But I agree that T1 had much stronger emotions, and a more believable feel from the human characters.

Great video as always !!! Here are my Top 10 DCTV Heroes on The CW - 1. Superman on Superman & Lois played by Tyler Hoechlin , Tyler's Superman on Superman & Lois is for me the best live action version of Superman since the late great Christopher Reeve and the best Clark Kent since Tom Welling on Smallville. Tyler's Superman on Supergirl and the Arrowverse crossovers I did like but did not love how the Supergirl writers wrote him yes he's a supporting character I get it but he should be respected but that's just me. On Supoerman & Lois Tyler' has gotten to shine a lot more showing the dorky side of Clark Kent but also the hope , optomisum and joy of Christopher Reeve's Superman combined with seriousness of Superman without being too dark just the right mix of light and dark with the character plus he's a great family man Superman to his sons Joanthan and Jordan Kent. The rest of the list I agree with and also love Stephen Amell's Green Arrow Oliver Queen love him as Oliver.

Unpopular opinion - I've always enjoyed part 2 of the finale. The scene where Clark's Dad gives him the suit, and he flies off to save Lois still gives me chills. I like most of season 10 for that matter. Because I knew of the history of the people who played superman, I never had a problem with Tom Welling not wanting to wear the suit. Of course I would have liked to see him in the suit like everyone else, but I thought his portrayal of Clark Kent through all 10 seasons was so well done I ultimately wasn't that pissed off.

There is a Russian film shot in the USSR in 1973 called "The Headless Horseman". The film is based on the adventure novel by Thomas Mayne Reid. This is an interesting example of a "Soviet western", where you can also see how American history was perceived in the Soviet Union, and the film has a vivid image of the headless horseman himself with a memorable musical theme. The full movie is available on UA-cam.

It's simple. Tom welling didn't want to wear the superman suit. No matter how much they use the excuse of "No tights, No flights," the final act literally shows Clark with the tights flying around. I get that they would want to use that rule for the show, but that was clearly broken in the finale, so it made no sense.
